I get asked all the time...did i mention ALL THE TIME!! 
"Are there any shampoos or products out there that will make my hair grow faster?" 
and the answer i always give is

sad.. sad.. sad.. i know!! 
The key and most important thing i DO always tell my clients is...If you give your hair TLC on a regular basis it will grow!!  Fact of the matter is with any good relationship really...your hair needs attention really good attention and constant attention at that!  

There is no miracle pill to take..... no magic potion to drink.... and there certainly isn't any super shampoo to lather up too!! 

They're all MYTHS!  

There are certain products out there that claim to make your hair grow faster and stronger and healthier than ever!  But the fact of the matter is its not speeding up your hair growth at all!!   
Hair will grow at its own rate. Human hair grows at an average of about ½ an inch every month. Everyone has different DNA and this DNA will state exactly how fast your hair will
grow!! ;)  It has a name actually, it is one stage of the 3 stages in hair growth and its stage is called 

Anagen is the active phase of the hair.  The cells in the root of the hair are dividing rapidly.   A new hair is formed and pushes the club hair (a hair that has stopped growing or is no longer in the anagen phase) up the follicle and eventually out.    During this phase the hair grows about 1 cm every 28 days.  Scalp hair stays in this active phase of growth for two to six years.
Some people have difficulty growing their hair beyond a certain length because they have a short active phase of growth.  On the other hand, people with very long hair have a long active phase of growth.  The hair on the arms, legs, eyelashes, and eyebrows have a very short active growth phase of about 30 to 45 days, explaining why they are so much shorter than scalp hair.

If you want longer healthier hair its actually quite simple

improve your diet.

 regular exercise.

6-8 hours of sleep nightly.

 NO caffeine or nicotine. stunts hair growth.

take daily vitamins.

hair and nail vitamin.

use appropriate Shampoos and Conditioners

use heat protectors when using heat.

get regular trims
(i tell my clients every 8-12 weeks if your are trying to grow it out)

don't over process your hair.

deep condition.
(in salon or @ home)

drink a lot of water.

.......and before you realize it your hair will be healthy healthy healthy...and growing growing growing!! ;)
